Chapter 13 is nearly finished. My book is taking a turn in a direction I hadn’t even expected, but it sometimes does when you get an idea in your head and it stays there. Because of this change in direction, the story is flowing. The parts that have been locked away, stewing, you could say, for the past year and a half, will still be played out in the story, but there a a bigger plot now, one that even I hadn’t expected.
I still have a long way to go with this book, I can already tell. There is a lot to add, a lot to say. I feel really good about where it’s heading. Sure, maybe I have nearly turned my main female character into a hussy (is that even a word anymore? lol) but it’s part of how she feels and how she connects with the other characters.
When The Letter is finally finished and published and all of you read it, you’ll understand why she does the things she does, why she feels the way she does and why she makes the choices she makes. You’ll see. It’s going to be terrific. 🙂
